20/180 THE CIRCLE

The circle is such an important shape in ETK. We are still working on learning how to make a circle on our beautiful new carpet and to actually sit down to share, listen, and learn. It's getting there... and maybe in a few more months, we will be there.

Today we met our Restorative Justice teacher, Mr. Vazquez. He introduced my students to the circle and talking piece. I want to implement this in class. I want my 3-4 year olds to learn to listen to someone other than themselves... when they are ready. Right now, it's still pretty much about them, after all, what they say and want are pretty important... my 9 year old is still working on that as well!
