33/180 COUGHS AND SMALL GROUPS...

Went back to school after an extra district day off yesterday... needed it!
I guess many of my kids did too because there was a lot more coughing,
and some very congested noses, one fever,
and one vomit.
Oh the joys of teaching young children!

Trying some changes this week in small group centers...
Read aloud in small groups.
Shared writing in small groups.
No group with more than 5 in small groups.
12 minute rotations in small groups.

Except for the fact that my voice (still a little sick) was a bit overworked
Reading aloud in small groups is so meaningful...
that's if you can do it.
We are lucky we can.
More attention.
More participation.
More interactions.
More data collected.

Pictures of the Day:

Outdoor Centers with Victoria.
I asked her to draw a picture of herself.
She said she looked like a pig when she drew the nose.
I told her we all have 2 holes!
Love his self portrait!
He added the teeth.
