I was waiting for the right time to share it.
We have literature that comes with our unit.
Sometimes great classics like Caps for Sale.
Other times, the book is well meaning, but 4 year olds can't sit through long periods of text that hard to understand in a second language.
We read about hats this week (CLOTHING UNIT), so today, I read (in small groups) one of my favorite books: This Is Not My Hat. If you have not read it to young children, you should! Tomorrow is Bring Your Favorite Hat Day! And we will read the Magic Hat by another favorite author of mine, Mem Fox. Oh, how I love good children's literature!
